BTIM has hired a Russell director to manage its diversified fund range.
BT Investment Management (BTIM) has hired Russell Investments investment solutions director Martyn Wild to manage the company's diversified funds range.
Wild, who is scheduled to leave Russell on 30 July, will join BTIM at the end of August and will report to head of macro strategies Joe Bracken.
The senior portfolio management position was created after incumbent BTIM chief executive Emilio Gonzalez combined the cash, credit and fixed interest resources into a single boutique structure in March.
The consolidation of the businesses resulted in the diversified fund range, which includes the BT Active Income Fund, Sustainable Balanced Fund and Future Goals Fund, becoming part of the macro strategy team's responsibilities.
The addition of Wild brings the total number of staff in the income boutique to seven.
Wild has worked at Russell for four years, while previous stints include the role of equity product manager at the Sydney Futures Exchange and London futures exchange LIFFE.
Russell has replaced Wild with internal candidate and actuary Karolina Bowler.
