Hub24 beefs up platform

New SMA models added

By Vishal Teckchandani
Fri 25 Jun 2010

Model portfolios of BNY Mellon Asset Management's Ankura Capital, Above The Index Asset Management and Renaissance have been added to Hub24.

Three new separately managed account (SMA) model portfolios have been added to financial services firm Hub24's platform.

The strategies include Ankura Capital's High Yield Folio, Zurich Investments' Australian Value Share and Zurich Investments' Australian Property Securities Folio.

The new managers would offer financial planners more style choice, Hub24 managing director Darren Pettiona said.

"There is quite a good diversification on our list. We now have Australian small caps, mid caps, large caps, property, equity-income and index model portfolios," he said.

"We are talking to a few more managers and there is momentum coming on, so we should be getting new managers coming on the list every week."

SMAs would flourish as more fund managers, including some of the larger names, began offering model portfolios in a non-unitised structure, he said.

Ankura's High Yield Folio invests mainly in industrial companies that offer attractive and sustainable dividend yields.

Ankura is one of BNY Mellon Asset Management's investment boutiques that specialises in Australian equities.

Zurich Investments' Australia Value Share is managed by Above The Index Asset Management, while the Australian Property Securities Folio is run by Renaissance.
