Suncorp Life has appointed Richard Bellis to the role of executive manager for life risk adviser solutions.
Formerly Aviva distribution general manager, Bellis oversaw the group's distribution and business development strategy across all product lines.
In that role, his specific focus was on life insurance, platform and corporate superannuation, and also included responsibility for sales growth within the independent financial adviser market.
Suncorp said Bellis's breadth and depth of experience in life risk was demonstrated by his strong record of advancement in senior management, distribution and sales roles since he began in the sector in 1989.
Suncorp executive general manager of life risk John Crosswell said Bellis would play a key role in delivering results for Suncorp Life's independent financial adviser channel, building on its established capability and supporting Asteron general manager Jordan Hawke's leadership in the independent financial adviser market.
