Dealer group Genesys Wealth Advisers has appointed one of its advisers and practice principals, Gerry Baker, to its national advisory council.
As national advisory council member for New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, Baker will be one of the representative voices for Genesys advisers and discuss with dealer group management the issues and challenges advisers face.
Baker succeeds Sandy Dunshea, who left Genesys earlier this year. He has 15 years' experience with the group and was also one of the co-founders of Genesys member firm TAG Financial.
Baker won a number of awards, including team player of the year, at the recent Genesys National Conference, was heavily involved in the community, was well known in the industry and was a great mentor to other member firms, a Genesys spokesperson said.
Investors may need to shift a greater portion of their assets beyond Australia if they are to take advantage of emerging investment themes. ... read more »
