ING's national dealer group manager for advice Michael Pollak has been picked up by AMP Horizons.

AMP Horizons Financial Planning Academy (AMP Horizons) has appointed ING national dealer group manager for advice Michael Pollak as its new head of practice, effective 3 May.

In his new role, Pollak will drive the growth of the AMP Horizons business model and support the ongoing development of Horizons planners. He will report directly to AMP Horizons director Tim Steele and have a seat on the Horizons Leadership Team.

Steele said Pollak brought extensive financial services knowledge to AMP Horizons and had proven leadership ability in the financial planning industry.

He said Pollak would play a key role in building a sustainable and scalable operating model for the Horizons Practice nationally, which currently employs 51 planners and has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Prior to his recent position with ING, Pollak was ING Advice Group head of strategy and finance and held senior roles in the advisory, and merger and acquisition areas of various professional services organisations.

An ING spokesperson said Pollak had not yet been replaced but would be in due course.
