Former Statewide chief executive Frances Magill has resurfaced at Matrix Planning Solutions.

Former Statewide chief executive Frances Magill has returned to the industry after announcing her retirement from the super fund in June 2009.

Following a career in financial services that spanned over 20 years, Magill has resurfaced as the principal of the newly established Adelaide-based practice Frances Magill Financial Strategists under dealer group Matrix Planning Solutions.

Magill's short-lived retirement was a result of considerable requests for her expertise and guidance, and her commitment to helping people, Matrix said.

Magill said she and the team were delighted to be aligned with Matrix as its commitment to leading edge financial advice, comprehensive business and software development, and compliance provided the optimal support for the achievement of clients' goals.

Employed with Statewide for 20 years, Magill was the first employee of the super fund when it was established in 1990 and during her tenure grew its funds under management from $10 million to $2 billion.

Among a host of gongs received during her career, Magill was named one of Australia's premier business leaders by leadership publication Super Leaders of Australia and was also listed among South Australia's 50 most powerful people.

Magill Financial Strategists will provide advice on superannuation, pre-retirement and retirement planning, personal and business life insurance, savings and investment plans as well as estate planning.
