Ibbotson Associates has appointed JF Capital Partners to manage a $100 million equities mandate.

Investment adviser Ibbotson Associates has appointed JF Capital Partners to manage a $100 million Australian equities manadate.

JF Capital Partners will manage the mandate within the firm's Australian Shares Active Trust.

JF Capital, which is backed by JP Morgan Asset Management, is a growth manager that adopts a bottom-up investment process.

"The appointment of JF Capital Partners provides the trust access to an aggressive growth-style manager that is expected to complement the other style exposures within the trust," Ibbotson Associates portfolio manager Matt Tuxford said.

Other managers in the Australian Shares Active Trust include Dimensional Fund Advisors, Northcape Capital, Atom and Wallara Asset Management.

The trust also has a small exposure to the firm's Australian Shares High Alpha Trust.
