GESB has made internal appointments to its advice business.
West Australian superannuation fund GESB has internally appointed three people to its advice business.
The superannuation fund already has 11 advisers working for it.
"We decided to develop an effective approach to succession planning. We have a good training and breeding ground for staff development," GESB wealth management general manager Fabian Ross said.
The internal staff will be placed in a rotational training process, which will include work experience in paraplanning as well as working with the fund's existing advisers.
Training would also be provided through recognised groups such as Kaplan, Ross said.
"They will be placed with advisers on a probationary basis. In time they will become fully-fledged advisers," he said.
GESB offers three forms of advice: simple advice, specific advice and advice for more complex needs.
"We have received strong demand for all three forms of advice and will continue to grow our advice business," Ross said.
