The financial services firm has made a number of internal changes, including the creation of a new head of super job.

Colonial First State (CFS) executive manager of technical services Sam Wall has been appointed to the newly-created job of head of super.

In the job, Wall will be responsible for FirstChoice Employer Super and the development of products in super and retirement across CFS's product range.

Wall will report to general manager product and investment services Alan Kenny.

"I am pleased to appoint such a high-calibre internal candidate to the newly-created role following on from a successful tenure overseeing the technical services team," Kenny said.

Deborah Wixted will replace Wall. Wixted has been with CFS since 2003 when she joined as senior technical services manager.

Wixted will oversee the FirstTech team. The technical services team provides support to independent advisers and planners in CFS's aligned advice businesses.
