FPA deputy chair Mark Spiers has stepped down after nearly two years in the role and will be succeeded by Hood Sweeney managing director Matthew Rowe.
Rowe has worked on the development of the FPA's Code of Professional Conduct and has chaired a number of FPA committees.
"The board and management look forward to working with Matthew in raising the bar for FPA members," FPA chair Julie Berry said.
Spiers has worked on a number of boards within the FPA, including as chair of the legislation and regulation board committee and as a member of the board strategy and remuneration and succession planning committees.
He currently heads the BT Financial Group advice business.
Board members Julie Matheson, Louise Biti and David Haintz will also end their term with the association at the annual general meeting in November.
In the meantime, Matrix Planning Solutions founder Rob Pedersen has been appointed as the FPA board director on charitable foundation Future2 and will take over from Haintz.
