Pinnacle has appointed a business development associate in its Sydney office.
Boutique funds management group Pinnacle Investment Management is beefing up its distribution team on the back of its agreement with Capital International to distribute its global equities funds to Australian investors.
The first appointment is Scott Thomas, who has taken on the role of business development associate in Pinnacle's Sydney office.
Thomas will report to Pinnacle director Adrian Whittingham and focus on the development of Capital International.
Prior to his new job, he worked in business development in the retail and institutional market at Macquarie.
"The beauty of Scott is that he brings both an institutional and retail knowledge to our business. He can leverage up into that market as we get added to platforms," Whittingham said.
Pinnacle will also have a new staff member joining the Melbourne office on 1 June.
Whittingham said Pinnacle would be looking to add a business development manager in Sydney and another staff member in Melbourne in the near future.
"Part of the reason for Pinnacle expanding its distribution business is because of the demand for Capital International and Solaris Investment Management," he said.
