PIS is set to launch new internships, with the possibility of traineeships and a new paraplanner school to follow.
Financial planning group Professional Investment Services (PIS) is beefing up its training for new recruits, the company has announced.
"PIS has pledged to continue with its Insight, Paraplanning Launch and Paraplanning School courses, and will now offer an internship program as well," the company said.
Insight is an introductory course for university students, the Paraplanning Launch is for those just starting in the industry, and the Paraplanning School is designed for junior advisers with three to six months' experience.
The new eight-week internship program will link with all three courses, and give students further opportunities for in-house training at PIS headquarters on the Gold Coast, PIS chief executive Robbie Bennetts said.
PIS is also looking to introduce government-backed traineeships, to provide eligible staff in accounting and advisory roles, with Certificate IV accreditation.
The next step for PIS will be to set up a paraplanners school for staff with more experience in the field, Bennetts said.
"We have always been proud of our commitment to increasing the expertise of our advisers, and these latest steps will extend the knowledge and skills of our team,'' he said.
