Learning Advisory Services Australia wins tender to provide administration for the ASIC Training Register.
The Australian Securities and Investment Commission (ASIC) has appointed Learning Advisory Services Australia (LASA) to administer the ASIC Training Register.
The training register lists training courses and individual assessment services that meet the regulator's requirements for accrediting financial advisers.
LASA will be responsible for assessing applications and re-applications for the acceptance of courses and assessment services onto the register, as well as handling enquiries about the training register.
The regulator also reminded course providers and authorised assessors to renew their training course registration and assessment services by December 1, 2008. Registration has to be renewed every three years.
This obligation was introduced as part of the update to Regulatory Guide 146 Licensing: Training of financial product advisers, in November 2007.
