Advertised jobs in the advice industry are up 21.5 per cent in South Australia, the latest eJobs report has found.

Advertised industry jobs across Adelaide and regional South Australia have boomed by 21.5 per cent over the last year, compared to a 9.4 per cent drop nationally, an eJobs Recruitment Specialists Report has found.

"Regional job numbers are showing robust growth with South Australia outpacing the rest of Australia and in many ways defying the logic of current investment and economic market conditions," the report said.

The talent shortage in Adelaide and regional South Australia is also keeping salaries high for advisers, paraplanners and client support staff, according to the report.

In the past 12 months a salary of $85,000 was popular for advisers with two to four years experience, however offers of $95,000 and above were also not uncommon.

While there were fewer opportunities for paraplanners in Western Australia, unusually high salaries in the region were being promoted.

"These appear to be out of proportion to other regions with frantic bidding as a result of the very limited supply of mid-level and senior paraplanners," the report said.

Some paraplanning salaries were so good it was "even enough to temp the most experienced eastern-seaboard paraplanner to relocate".

Industry job numbers in Western Australia were declining drastically, despite the perceptions the mining boom would see growth continue, a separate report by eJobs Recruitment Specialists found.

"Western Australia has seen a 33 per cent decline in advertised industry jobs over the passed 12 months," the report said.
