Former analyst and award winner Ben Hare becomes director of the infrastructure at GSJBWAM.
Fomer analyst and award winner Ben Hare has been appointed to the new position of director of infrastructure at Goldman Sachs JBWere Asset Management (GSJBWAM).
Hare won the Investment and Financial Services Association/Deloitte Future Leaders award last year for his study on the impact of climate change on investment decisions.
He joined GSJBWAM in 2000 as a quantitative and investment analyst.
In his new job, Hare will analyse utility equities and help manage the Goldman Sachs JBWere Australian Infrastructure Wholesale Fund with the firm's infrastructure head, Geoff Frankish.
The fund has around $160 million under management and has returned 13.8 per cent since its January 2006 inception.
Hare was chosen for the job because of his quantitative experience and in-depth knowledge of markets, Frankish said.
