Niche business Destiny Financial Solutions has won a 2007 Best Value award.

Margaret Lomas, founder of residential property investment specialist Destiny Financial Solutions, has a new trophy in her cabinet.

The Chittaway Bay, New South Wales-headquartered enterprise won the 2007 Australian Business Award for Best Value in the finance and investment services category.

Destiny Financial Solutions delivers planning, management and strategic services to Australian property investors.

"At Destiny Financial Solutions we are focused on the development and delivery of products and services for property investors which represent exceptional value for money," Lomas, the 2006 Telstra NSW Business Woman of the Year, said.

"We believe true value for money is reflected by the delivery of meaningful client results at an affordable price."

Destiny prided itself on providing sound and ethical advice to an industry fraught with unscrupulous operators, she said.

Destiny has 12 branches run by franchisees plus its online virtual branch.

It also runs Destiny Mortgage Solutions to provide loans tailored to property investors through a boutique wholesale company with the trustee role undertaken by Perpetual Trustees.

Lomas has more than 30 investment properties and has penned six books.

The awards showcase organisations that demonstrate the core values of business excellence, corporate responsibility and commercial success in their respective industries.

The 41 award winners were chosen from more than 800 entries and independently judged, Australian Business Awards program director Tara Johnston said.
