Julie Andrews to take up role

Vanguard has appointed Julie Andrews as head of institutional in Australia, overseeing institutional business and strategic sales strategy within the national executive.

As a former director of FTSE's Australian operations, Ms Andrews has experience in senior management at an index specialist, having had responsibility for FTSE's establishment and expansion in the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Originally from the United States, Ms Andrews has a wide range of financial services experience, from broker relations with Thomson Financial to establishing the Asia-Pacific presence of equity research firm StarMine.

"We are delighted to welcome Ms Andrews to head up our institutional business and join the leadership team at Vanguard," said Vanguard managing director John James.
