Acadian Appoints Andrew Hair as CEO

Acadian Asset Management (Australia) has appointed Andrew Hair as its chief executive.Hair joined Acadian Australia in March 2007 and has been responsible for leading the business's institutional client service, sales and consultant relationship efforts.

Acadian Australia chairman Bruce Bonyhady said Hair's appointment followed a period where he was working in an acting CEO capacity at the company. "Andrew has delivered stability, guidance and expertise and under his stewardship, Acadian Australia will continue to be a soundly managed and well performing business," Bonyhady said.

"We believe Acadian Australia is extremely well placed to continue delivering leading quantitative investment funds to the Australian market and grow under Andrew's guidance."

Hair is a qualified actuary with more than 14 years' experience in the funds management industry.

Prior to joining Acadian in 2007, he was a senior business development manager at MLC Implemented Consulting.

He previously worked as an asset consultant at Mercer Investment Consulting in London.

Acadian Australia is a joint venture funds management company, equally owned by Colonial First State and Boston-based Acadian Asset Management.
