The industry super fund has launched an online insurance service for its members in a bid to make it easier to access additional cover.
Prime Super has launched an online insurance function for its members.
The online application was developed by Prime Super's group insurer MetLife and is aimed at providing the fund's members with easier access to additional cover.
"The online application will provide members with a user friendly, secure and streamlined application process," Prime Super chief executive Lachlan Baird said.
"Members will know on the spot whether their application has been successful and how much their increased level of cover will cost."
Over 60 per cent of the traditional paper application was removed to ensure only relevant questions were asked to assess a member's risk, according to MetLife chief executive Marc Lieberman.
Prime Super is the first MetLife client to adopt the technology.
"The online application is the next step towards making it as easy as possible for our members to apply for additional cover to ensure that they have adequate insurance protection to meet their individual needs," Baird said.
Prime Super is the national superannuation fund for rural and regional Australia.
